Flournoy Health Systems (FHS) is seeking an innovative Workplace Culture & Engagement Manager to design, activate, and sustain a thriving organizational culture. Serving as a strategic leader, this role blends human resources expertise, employee engagement, and internal communications to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. The Workplace Culture & Engagement Manager will drive initiatives across employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, talent development, diversity & inclusion, communications, and change management. By translating values into lived experiences and crafting compelling communication strategies, this leader will ensure culture is embedded in every step of the employee journey. The ideal candidate is a connector, strategist, and storytellerable to influence without authority, partner with leadership, and champion employee voices. With a unique blend of strategic thinking, organizational psychology, and communication expertise, this role directly impacts retention, productivity, satisfaction, and overall business performance, while ensuring FHS internal culture aligns with its public brand and values.

Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership & Relationship Management

Build strong partnerships with leaders and employees to understand organizational needs. Translate business objectives into clear, consistent communications and cultural initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor on employee engagement and organizational health. Promote transparency and open dialogue across departments.

Culture Strategy & Design

Define and evolve company values with leadership. Translate values into observable, measurable behaviors. Develop playbooks, rituals, and practices that reinforce culture. Align cultural initiatives with business goals.

Culture Activation & Programs

Launch recognition and ambassador programs to embed cultural values. Design onboarding experiences that immerse new hires in FHS culture. Build initiatives that celebrate wins and strengthen cultural norms. Develop mechanisms for employee feedback and action planning.

Measurement & Analytics

Create and track culture and engagement KPIs. Conduct surveys, assessments, and values alignment reviews. Build dashboards for leadership visibility. Use data and predictive analytics to identify risks and opportunities.

Leadership & Manager Development

Coach leaders on cultural role-modeling and employee engagement. Train managers to be culture carriers in their teams. Integrate culture competencies into performance management. Foster psychological safety and equity across teams.

Communication & Change Management

Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies that inform, engage, and connect employees across all levels. Partner with leaders and stakeholders to align communication with business goals and cultural priorities. Create compelling content, messaging, and storytelling that reinforces values and motivates employees. Oversee channel strategy (intranet, newsletters, email, forums, events) while monitoring and measuring effectiveness. Provide recommendations on emerging communications trends, tools, and best practices. Ensure messaging reflects company values, reinforces culture, and builds trust. Lead communications for major announcements, leadership changes, and organizational initiatives. Support high-impact culture transformation projects, ensuring clear and empathetic messaging.

Manage crisis response communications to maintain trust and stability.

Gather feedback, monitor sentiment, and refine strategies to ensure effectiveness during change. Craft communications that reinforce culture and engagement. Manage communications for culture transformation initiatives. Partner with marketing to align employer brand internally and externally.
