Job Title: Controls Engineer
Our client, located in the vicinity of Dallas, Texas, is currently seeking a talented Controls Engineer with a strong skill set to create and enhance systems that drive improvements in quality, productivity, and safety. This is a full-time, direct hire position. Responsibilities:
Design and implement processes and systems to elevate quality, productivity, and safety while reducing inefficiencies. Lead and manage complex controls projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members. Collaborate across departments to initiate and oversee process enhancement projects from inception to fruition. Key Technical Focus Areas (Top Priorities):
Advanced programming in Allen Bradley PLC systems, including Ladder Logic, Function Blocks, and Structured Text. Design and deployment of control and OT network architectures. Application of control engineering principles in manufacturing settings. Expertise in VFDs and Kinetics motion control systems. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field) from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or maintenance; candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered without a degree. Prior experience in continuous processes, preferably in aluminum extrusion or production. Strong project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in AC & DC electrical systems up to 480 volts. Skilled in Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio. Experience with AC drives, motor controls, and Ethernet/IP networking. Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical is a plus. Familiarity with industrial safety practices and NFPA 70E preferred. Work Schedule:
This position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime. Additionally, one evening shift every third week and one weekend on-call duty per month is required. Features and Benefits:
