Responsibilities:
Adhere strictly to safety policies and work instructions, utilizing all required PPE and safety gear.
Examine machine controls for plate changeovers and start machines for production when necessary.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Repair and replace basic mechanical components, including bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to identify problems.
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts for repair or replacement.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments to maintain efficiency.
Inspect used parts for dimensional changes and wear.
Lubricate and clean machinery to uphold preventive maintenance standards.
Document and track changeover times and work order completion.
Accomplish work orders with a focus on safety, minimizing downtime, reducing scrap, improving quality, and enhancing plant efficiency.
Follow all safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and housekeeping standards.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
3-5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment or a combination of training and experience.
Ability to interpret procedure manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Experience using precision measuring devices like amp meters and electric meters.
Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills to handle diverse situations.
Good troubleshooting abilities.
Basic math skills for calculations involving decimals and fractions.
Diligence in performing work responsibly and professionally.
Electrical experience is preferred.
