Inventory Controller

As a valued team member of Knudson Lumber, your number one priority will always be ensuring our customers receive the

best customer service . All team members must greet customers with a warm smile, offer assistance, or guide them to the appropriate team member. Answering incoming phone calls and directing them appropriately is also part of the responsibility.

CUSTOMERS ALWAYS COME FIRST - all other duties follow

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of previous experience in inventory management, merchandising, or retail operations Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, Contractor Sales, and Receiving Basic computer skills; experience with inventory systems is required Willingness to assist wherever necessary and support team members Responsibilities:

Uphold core values and hold team members accountable Inventory Management

Maintain adequate inventory levels for all in-store items Place daily/weekly stock orders from vendors and ensure accuracy Enter stock orders into the Eagle system and confirm accuracy Master the RF Gun for inventory tasks Perform regular store walkthroughs to monitor stock levels and organization Maintain up-to-date vendor list and credentials Inventory Accuracy & System Management

Manage inventory using Eagle and Inventory Planner programs Implement and maintain inventory cycle counting for in-store and yard items Complete daily counts, adjustments, new item entries, UPC maintenance, and discontinued item management Assist with store use adjustments, defective returns, and cut/mod orders Pricing & Promotions

Implement and maintain company price plans and manage retail pricing Monitor gross margin and manage promotions, sale prices, and coupon SKUs Collaborate with Marketing & Advertising Manager to plan and execute store promotions Assist with special buys, bucket sales, and vendor specials Merchandising

Create and maintain end-cap displays and track sales performance Manage price tags, backer tags, and in-store signage Inventory Mix & Analysis

Use Compass Analytics to monitor sales, margin, and product performance Recommend new product lines and identify slow-moving or non-moving items Maintain competitive pricing and stay updated on market trends Loss Prevention

Remain vigilant for potential shoplifting and suspicious behavior Record observations and report concerns to management Never attempt to stop shoplifters directly; provide detailed descriptions and reports Why Join Us?

Compensation: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
