Zachry Engineering Corp (ZEC) is currently building a pool of I&C Engineer-III candidates for upcoming projects in our Houston office. This is a great opportunity to get involved in some interesting and challenging design projects.
Responsibilities
Interacts and works with instrumentation project teams of engineers and designers (local and international) Specify and check other engineers work in all types of instruments, process control, cause and effect matrix, SIS systems, instrument index and insulation details. Assist process engineering is the development of P&IDs. Being capable of conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering in all aspects of instrumentation and controls engineering. Responsible for the development of instrumentation engineering schedule, deliverables, development of instrument engineering estimates and adherence to assigned project budgets. Must be open to field work and project required travel.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls engineering. Bachelor’s degree in engineering required Must be available for field work which involves travel to industrial sites where climbing, working in tight and high places is required. Position requires strong background in instrumentation, conceptual design, instrument engineering team Effective research skills, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, questioning and feedback skills, time management skills. Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines. Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments. Strive to achieve successful results as a team. Coordinate a variety of tasks with good attention to detail.
Preferred Requirements
PE is a plus, but not required.
Physical Demands
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

Work Environment:
Employee will work primarily in an office however may work in other environments including warehouse and, in a trailer, or building on construction sites. On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
