Desktop Support Technician
TEKsystems is hiring a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical assistance to end users in a Windows-based environment. This role requires hands-on experience with desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, as the technician will interact directly with users to resolve issues efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, and replacements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity. Configure and deploy computer equipment according to organizational standards. Document support activities using a ticketing system. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of technical problems. Required Skills
Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments. Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting. Familiarity with password resets, remote support, and desktop imaging. Understanding of basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN, cabling). Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Preferred Experience
Exposure to enterprise-level support environments. Experience with ticketing systems and service desk operations. Knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, and common business applications. Qualifications
Intermediate-level experience in desktop support or technical help desk. Candidates with strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills will be considered, even at junior levels. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
