GC Subrogation Associate - Part Time Student Worker

The General Claims Subrogation Associate is responsible for creating and compiling subrogation demand letters and packets for initial subrogation and supplement payments and sending them to adverse parties. This role also includes making contact with third party carriers to confirm receipt of demands and confirmation of liability decisions.
The hours for the position will flex Monday through Friday and may be scheduled around a student's academic obligations in an associate's, bachelor's, or master's program. The hours for the position are 10 to 20 hours per week. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the insurance industry while working toward completing your college education!
Responsibilities:
Assist with Subrogation claims and create/compile and send Subrogation Demands for prompt resolution.
Assist to verify coverage on claims and contact parties involved.
Initiate communication to adverse carriers to assist in response to Subrogation demands that were sent.
Enter information and make notes in ClaimCenter Database.
Assist Subrogation Representatives with recovery check processes.
Contact policyholders for additional information when needed.
Assist in sending documents to outsource vendors for alternate resolution.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Ability to think critically, use resources and seek answers
Strong organizational skills
Multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Technical aptitude, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Currently working toward an associates, bachelor’s or master’s degree
Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience interacting with the public in a professional setting is preferred.
Starting Rate: $21
