Unit Info: The PT Wound Care service covers both inpatient (acute care) and outpatient complex wound care needs, including debridement, advanced dressing selection, and wound vacs. The PT Wound Care service partners with many surgical teams including plastic surgery, Emergency General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular, Orthopedics, and others to ensure good outcomes for complex traumatic and surgical wounds, along with managing some chronic wounds such as venous or arterial ulcers.
Special Procedures/Requirements: Selective debridement, advanced dressing selection, NPWT, complex wound management, outpatient clinic, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assistive Devices, Pain assessment, Sensory response, Skin integrity, Assessment, Discharge, evaluation, long term goals, plan of care, Reassessments, Short term goals, time management
