ICF is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented

Security Analyst

to support the safety and security of our personnel, facilities, and operations-both domestic and international. This role is ideal for professionals with foundational experience in corporate security, threat assessment, and operational risk management in a global consulting environment.

As part of the ICF corporate Health, Safety, and Security team, this position provides physical security support for all ~9,000 ICF employees globally. Ideal candidates will possess an analytical mindset and situational awareness, enabling them to proactively identify and respond cross-functionally to global security threats and incidents. They should also demonstrate exceptional communication and coordination skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and external partners-ensuring seamless crisis response and alignment with ICF's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Intelligence & Threat Analysis

: Monitor global security trends and conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis to support proactive threat response, situational awareness, and risk mitigation.

Incident & Emergency Response

: Provide centralized monitoring of critical events (e.g., natural disasters, civil unrest), ensuring rapid outreach to impacted personnel and stakeholders.

Physical Security Oversight

: Monitor and assess physical security risks across U.S. and international office locations and client sites. Support the implementation and maintenance of access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.

Incident Investigation & Reporting

: Investigate security incidents, workplace threats, and policy violations. Track and report on incident trends and mitigation efforts to improve preventive measures.

Policy & Protocol Development

: Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and emergency protocols. Maintain security documentation, incident logs, and compliance records.

Travel Risk Management

: Conduct travel risk assessments and evaluate flight patterns, hotel locations, and transportation options to support staff safety during cross-border operations.

Training & Awareness

: Provide security briefings and awareness training to staff, including those traveling internationally. Develop and maintain resources to support awareness, compliance, and effective use of tools and processes.

Preparedness & Continuity Planning

: Participate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and business continuity efforts. Develop and conduct scenario-based drills (e.g., active shooter, lockdowns, evacuations).

Communication & Coordination

: Utilize mass communication systems to disseminate urgent messages to the Crisis Management Team and operational leaders. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, building management, law enforcement, and emergency services.

Personnel & Mission Tracking

: Monitor and track operations and employee locations in real time to ensure safety and adaptability to evolving threats.

Technology & Analytics Optimization

: Recommend upgrades to surveillance, communication, and incident response systems. Continuously enhance system analytics to improve response times and operational efficiency.

Vendor & Partner Management

: Foster relationships with third-party security providers, law enforcement, and emergency services to enable coordinated crisis response.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

: Regularly coordinate with corporate functions, senior management, and operational teams to align security efforts with organizational goals.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Criminal Justice, Security Management, Homeland Security, or a related field

A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a corporate security, security intelligence, or duty of care role, OR a high school diploma and 4+ years of experience.

Understanding of international travel risk, geopolitical threats, and duty-of-care principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven expertise in threat intelligence analysis, with at least 5+ years of experience.

Former military, law enforcement, or related government agency experience

Experience with corporate travel security or duty of care support

International operational experience

Industry certifications preferred (e.g., ASIS PSP, CPP, FEMA ICS, or similar)

Professional Skills:

Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, CoPilot, etc.)

Strong judgment, discretion, and experience managing sensitive information.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and time zones

Time management and multitasking

Pay Range

- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$66,730.00 - $113,440.00
