The Program Coordinator facilitates and coordinates Amalas Circle Up program in Hays CISD schools and in the broader Hays County community. This role combines facilitation, relationship-building, and program administration to ensure Amalas work in Hays County is impactful and sustainable. Key Responsibilities Serve as Amalas community representative in Hays County. Attend networking events, connect with local organizations, and build partnerships. Be the main point of contact for Hays County schools. Manage communications, scheduling, and data collection for all student, parent, and staff Circle Up programming. Facilitate SEL programming at three schools: Hays High School, McCormick Middle School, and one additional elementary school. This includes five weekly one-hour sessions for students, and workshops/professional development for parents and school staff each semester. Serve as the Community Specialist in Hays County. Participate in Amalas Community Specialist Training and lead a weekly community circle. Provide content to the Communications Team: share photos, program data, success stories, and other updates for social media and outreach. Manage grants supporting Hays County programming: track deliverables, compile reports, and collaborate with leadership on grant writing, reporting and compliance.

At Amala, we value both formal and informal education as well as lived experience. We especially encourage applicants who have personal experience in the communities we serve. Experience working with youth and families from historically marginalized communities Strong communication and relationship building skills Grant management experience Familiarity with SEL and mindfulness practices Fluency in Spanish preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of: SEL and mindfulness practices; grant guidelines and processes; community resources in Hays County; Google Workspace and standard office software; practices for facilitating healing circles within diverse communities Skills in: Facilitation and public speaking; program evaluation, analysis, and reporting; writing clear, concise communications; problem-solving and decision-making; time management and multitasking
