Information Technology/Assurance Specialist SME

The Information Technology/Assurance Specialist SME will serve as the Air Force Emerging Technology Office's (ETO) Information Technology Support and Information System Integration Specialist (ITS2IS). Responsibilities: Serve as the information technology support specialist with responsibility for administering the ETO's network system administration and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure maintenance functions. Support operational servers and applications, including hardware and software problem resolutions. Support the existing wide-area network (WAN), which supports the addition of nodes from development through implementation and sustainment, providing daily maintenance and troubleshooting for all systems. Provide Program Managers (PM) information to make decisions on future development, upgrade, implementation, testing, installation, and operation of enterprise architectural solutions for networks and IT systems performing compartmentalized business. Provide technical assistance and training to ETO personnel. Serve as an information system capability integrator with responsibility for implementing and integrating new requirements, as required. Advise and provide cybersecurity support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and PMs. Support studies on cyber efforts, acting as the principal cybersecurity advisor to the ETO Chief Engineer (CE). Identify security risks and develop and promulgate solutions to integrate security solutions into the design, development, configuration, integration, and management of current and future ETO networks and IT systems. Perform a comprehensive evaluation of the technical and non-technical security features of external site IT systems. Analyze ETO network and IT system risks and provide the Director/CE/PM/ISSM with information to make accreditation decisions. Make technical judgments of ETO IT systems' compliance with stated requirements, identifying and assessing the risks associated with operating the IT system and supporting the certification process for ETO systems under the organization's purview. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR High school diploma or GED and 4+ years equivalent experience in information technology or a related field 15+ years related IT experience Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information Active and valid driver's license Active TS/SCI clearance, willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2010/2013/2016, and Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems (OS) administration and associated requirements Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies, including communication security (COMSEC) integration Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military, civilian, and contractor personnel and industry partners Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) productivity software Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative, requiring minimal supervision How you'll grow: At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
