Geotechnical EngineerEssential Functions
Conduct geotechnical and geological evaluations for various project types
Lead and oversee field explorations, including sample collection and site investigations
Perform engineering analyses and calculations, including Potential Vertical Rise (PVR) assessments
Design and evaluate subsurface systems, deep foundations, and global stability solutions
Prepare, review, and edit technical proposals and project reports
Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and support staff
Utilize geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, SLIDE, and VOLFLOW
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting, preferably in Texas
Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
Proven experience with deep foundation systems and ground improvement techniques
Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
TxDOT project experience preferred, but not required
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
