Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

A Geotechnical and Material Testing firm is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team to meet rising demands in the area. The position offers flexibility to work from offices in Tri-Cities, Spokane Valley, or Idaho. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience and be a licensed EIT with one year remaining to obtain a professional engineering license in Washington. A PE license in Washington or Idaho is preferred. The candidate should have experience with test and bore pits and generating geotechnical reports.

Responsibilities

Prepare geotechnical proposals and associated fee estimates.

Perform and direct subsurface exploration using drilling and/or test pit methodologies.

Evaluate ground conditions and understand their impact on design and construction.

Conduct geotechnical design and analysis, including foundation design, retaining wall design, slope stability analysis, liquefaction analysis, settlement analysis, and seismic assessments.

Prepare geotechnical engineering evaluations and reports.

Lead business development and marketing efforts.

Essential Skills

Geotechnical engineering experience of at least 4 years.

Licensed EIT with one year remaining to obtain a PE license in Washington.

Experience with test and bore pits.

Ability to generate geotechnical reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering or related discipline.

Current Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Washington or Idaho, or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.

Project management experience.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in client relations and business development.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Lpile, and Slide is a plus.

The position offers the flexibility to work from the Tri-Cities, Spokane Valley, or Idaho office. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington. Position can work out of Tri Cities, Spokane or Hayden, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
