Overview: Sentara Albemarle Regional Medical Center is hiring an experienced Laboratory Manager to work full time. The Laboratory Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for laboratory operations within a Sentara facility. Responsible for delivering high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Analyzes patient data and suggests physician protocols for confirming patient diagnosis; acts as a consultant to pathologists, physicians, and other team members; identifies needs and implements training to ensure laboratory staff competency. Education Bachelor's in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science Certification/Licensure ASCP or AMT certification Experience Laboratory (required) 3 years Laboratory Leadership (required) Located in Elizabeth City, Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is a 182-bed, full-service facility offering a wide range of services, including inpatient and critical care, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, women's care, cardiology, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, and more.
