Position Overview:
The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of school-wide student assessments. This role ensures the effective administration of standardized tests, compliance with state and district requirements, accurate data collection, and timely reporting of results to support instructional decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and administer student assessments, including STAR, DAZE/MAZE, DIBELS, CoGAT, WIDA, and CMAS.
Participate in all required district and state-mandated training courses to deliver CoGAT, WIDA, and CMAS assessments.
Ensure all student accommodation is acknowledged, documented, and implemented during testing.
Manage student login credentials (usernames and passwords) and provide assistance with login issues as needed.
Set up and maintain testing platforms and systems at the beginning of the school year, with ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting throughout the year.
Complete additional training as needed to remain proficient in assessment platforms and procedures.
Collect, organize, and analyze student testing data to identify trends, strengths, and areas of need.
Prepare and present assessment reports for the principal and instructional staff to guide instructional planning and interventions.
Provide monthly reports to highlight areas of focus for teaching staff in supporting student growth.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure smooth assessment, implementation and effective use of data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, administration, or related field (preferred).
Prior experience in assessment coordination, data analysis, or education support roles strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple assessments and deadlines.
Proficiency in educational technology and testing platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to staff and administration.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintain the confidentiality of student information
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is performed in a classroom
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be

Salary - $22.00 - $25.00/Hour. September, 2025 – May, 2026
Location: 3115 Larkspur Drive, Colorado Springs
Work year and hours shall be those established by Orton
