Summary
Pottawattamie County Conservation is hiring a Hospitality and Guest Services Team Lead for the ski season, from December through March. This role involves leading front office operations, including staff scheduling, ticketing, lesson bookings, email responses, phone inquiries, and opening/closing procedures. The Team Lead will collaborate with the Administrative Assistant to ensure efficient and accurate front office performance, meeting guest expectations. Essential Functions
Oversee all hospitality and guest services operations, including ticket sales, guest inquiries, scheduling, group sales, season passes, and guest issue resolution. Assist in training front office staff on POS systems, cash handling, and sales documentation. Manage staff scheduling based on business demand, special events, and operational hours. Maintain records of supplies and retail items. Ensure proper documentation of training and record keeping. Supervise front office staff, delegate daily tasks, and manage daily operations based on business needs. Train staff on emergency procedures and protocols. Assist guests with ticketing, rentals, retail, season passes, and ski/snowboard lessons. Perform opening and closing procedures daily. Stay informed about resort information and collaborate with other departments for events and group sales. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and provide excellent customer service. Coordinate with management and staff across departments to meet organizational goals. Perform other duties as assigned and work in other departments as needed. Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities
Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to follow instructions and work indoors and outdoors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to work under pressure, follow policies, and foster a positive work environment. Education, Certifications, and Licenses
Must be 18 years or older at hire. Prior front office and supervisory experience preferred. 1-2 years in snow sports or hospitality industry. Reliable, punctual, own transportation, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional Details
