By aggregating massive amounts of U.S. government data and applying machine learning, their platform helps private-sector companies secure contracts faster, stay compliant, and compete more effectively. They sit at the intersection of AI, SaaS, and GovTech with a mission to modernize a multi-billion-dollar industry while strengthening national security and driving economic growth. As the first Platform Engineer, youll partner directly with the CTO to scale Kubernetes-based AWS and Cloudflare edge infrastructure. Youll design, automate, and monitor everything from Cloudflare Workers to secure container deployments, boosting DevX for product engineers while ensuring compliance and customer trust. This role is about building platforms that drive product and customer growthnot just infrastructure for its own sake. Responsibilities

Design and deploy Cloudflare Workers in TypeScript to handle real-time data ingestion, API routing, and zero-trust security at the edge. Manage and scale Kubernetes on EKS, strengthening and expanding multi-cluster AWS environments for high-throughput AI and data workloads. Use modern PaaS solutions where they add value, and self-host open-source equivalents when required. Apply lightweight container toolchains and secure build pipelines to reduce surface area, ensure provenance, and meet compliance standards. Build reusable CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Helm, and related tools to deliver both code and infrastructure quickly and safely. Administer Postgres for storage, row-level security, and authentication across internal and customer-facing systems. Implement observability with Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry, Tempo) to achieve 99.99% uptime and clear SLOs.
