Job Description
The Scrum Master works closely with Product Owners and Client to establish acceptance criteria for all user stories and lead Scrum routines. The Scrum Master must understand the nature of the work, provide constructive feedback and engage with the Product Owners and Team Members. The Scrum Master works closely with BA/testers to ensure that all user stories are expresses in terms that are valuable to the customer, and ensures that the backlog is prioritized, estimated, scheduled, and business value is captured. The Scrum Master is an effective communicator that brings teams together and yields positive results by using tactical communication skills to resolve conflicts, identify risks, and manage competing objectives and priorities. The Scrum Master has the ability to create and assist with presentations for a diverse group of stakeholders, conduct themselves in a professional manner, articulate concepts in simple terms, and collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Scrum teams to coordinate larger distributed projects.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to team and management. Focuses on customer service, demonstrating a positive influence on cross-team working relationships. The Scrum Master is responsible for adherence to all AgileScrum standards as referenced in SDLC standards. Scrum Master monitors key metrics and feedback to lead, drive, influence, and mold the team into a high performing and responsive unit that produces high quality output. The Scrum Master also uses Analytical skills to understand the Product roadmap, vision, and trade-offs between short-term and long-term goals. The Scrum Master participates in Epic and User Story definition and dependencies. Through knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban principles with general Waterfall knowledge. Ability to drive issues, risks, monitor dependencies and manage project budget. Experienced in Agile related tools (ADO, Jira, Confluence) Required: CSM is required; other scrum certifications are preferred. Required: Experience leading multiple Scrum teams. Required: 7 years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master with Project Management skillset. Required: Work a Hybrid work schedule of 3 days on site at Columbia SC office and 2 days remote.
