Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Day/Eve) Floating:
Required to float to appropriate units as part of the Resource Float team Documentation System:
EPIC (recent experience required) Estimated Weekly Pay:
$2100 - $2250 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active New York RN license (or proof of application with applied date) At least 1 year of recent clinical experience in a cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or telemetry nursing setting Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, IV starts, and post-cardiac catheterization care (minimum 1 year) Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications (required for RN jobs) NIHSS certification (required prior to start) EPIC documentation experience within the past 2 years (mandatory for healthcare jobs) Reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation not available) Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays as scheduled Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with acute cardiac and progressive care needs Monitor and manage patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, post-PTCA/stent, and other cardiac diagnoses Administer and titrate cardiac and insulin drips according to protocol Start IVs, perform venipuncture, and deliver post-cardiac catheterization care Document patient care using EPIC and administer medications via MAK Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy and telemetry technicians Float to other units as needed and participate as part of the Resource Float team Maintain compliance with facility dress code and professional nursing standards
