Our Poughkeepsie, NY Regional Office is seeking entry level Civil Engineers with interest in Bridge Design Location:
Poughkeepsie NY Experience:
Entry Level What You'll Do Review and check standard structural design calculations. Assist with structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software. Assist with the development of preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans. Provide information for design reports. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction serviceassignments. Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Assist with the preparation of project-related documents and internal correspondence. Assist and perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans. Review and check drawings under the careful supervision of a Senior Enigneer Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation,etc. Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
What We're Looking For
At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification, or in the process of obtaining. Bridge Design Experience preferred
