The Role

Industrial Engineer I - Continuous Improvement & Control Tower
and put your problem-solving skills to work where it counts. You'll optimize the heartbeat of our plant operations, leading to data-driven improvements that boost speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. What you'll do
•
Subject Matter Expert on the Control Tower
Plant outbound operations are tactically run from the Control Tower. It is the responsibility of the Control Tower to ensure every customer gets their order on time in full. On the job training will be provided for this role.
o Work with Control Tower team on both shifts to manage and improve Control Tower processes
o Ensure compliance to Control Tower SOPs
o Support any projects that require changes in Control Tower processes
o Create and conduct training required for any new Control Tower functions
o Identify and execute process improvements in Control Tower processes
o Work with ERP to resolve any concerns related to the Control Tower
o Be the operations representative for system change management
o Weekly downtime coordination
o Oversee all Control Tower training
o Support running the Control Tower during critical times of the year

Identify opportunities for improvement in the plant operations and execute related projects
o Design solutions for business needs related to capacity, productivity, quality, and service
o Collect and analyze data to quantify and validate process improvements
o Manage projects from start to finish, including cost justification, project planning, execution, training, and go-live support
o Work with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and ERP teams, and with external vendors as needed, for project execution
o Provide plant operations support as needed
o Support plant and transport project improvement initiatives. Lead and drive the change process. Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the function. Flexible schedule and availability during critical times and peaks of the year including project roll out periods.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field (master's preferred). 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing. 2+ years of data analysis experience, including SQL proficiency. Strong ability to collaborate across functions and lead individuals outside of direct reporting lines. Skilled at juggling multiple projects across different channels simultaneously. Excellent communication skills-able to adapt for executives, managers, and frontline employees alike. Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines. Experience in a unionized setting and with automated systems is a plus. Hands-on knowledge of WMS and SAP preferred.
