Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary Aerospace and SATCOM R&D team as an Electrical Engineer. You will be responsible for the engineering design, analysis, and documentation of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems & sub-assemblies. Your role will involve the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, including aircraft harness design, power management, RF, and antenna testing.
Responsibilities
Evaluate existing electrical systems, components, and applications through testing and implementation.
Conduct issue diagnosis, root cause analysis, and repairs.
Identify functional gaps in existing systems and determine solutions.
Perform feasibility studies for new technical requirements or projects.
Design, build, and test electrical components and systems.
Design electrical diagrams, block diagrams, and interface control documents.
Design conceptual wiring diagrams and release detailed wiring diagrams.
Implement Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes based on signal type.
Implement Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection.
Conduct electrical integration and select wires/cables to meet aircraft requirements.
Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total harness air vehicle design.
Model harness products, including 3-D modeling, space claims, routing, integration concepts, drawings, schematics, and documentation.
Participate in concurrent engineering for harness installation, and support aircraft integration and testing on-site.
Essential Skills
Minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
7+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for aviation.
Proficient in AS50881 (Wiring Aerospace Vehicle).
Experience with first article testing of newly designed components.
Ability to create/modify code for testing/debugging new systems.
Proficiency with electronic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft software.
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD drafting products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience within the aircraft industry (DOD and/or Commercial).
Knowledge in aerospace engineering, systems integration, satellite communication, and airworthiness.
Work Environment
You will be working in an office environment with some fieldwork. Flexibility in hours is required, with a typical schedule of 8-5, though overtime and late hours may be necessary. The team consists of 15 employees, fostering a collaborative environment with frequent interaction across all engineering disciplines. Business casual attire is expected. The company culture emphasizes communication and teamwork, offering a supportive work family atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $65.00/hr.
