The Director of Nursing (DON) is an integral member of the management team of their community, contributing health care leadership and expertise to promote an environment of optimal living for residents. The DON will plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of clinical services in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines to foster the highest degree of quality care. He/she will comply with all local, state, and federal regulations and focus on employee and resident safety. As a Director of Nursing your responsibilities will involve Resident Care, Nursing Leadership and Regulatory Safety and Compliance including but not limited to: Resident Care:

Plan, organize, and direct clinical services to promote high-quality resident care and safety. Nursing Leadership:

Lead, recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff; manage staffing and performance. Regulatory Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies; oversee audits and incident investigations. Emergency Response:

Assist community during emergencies. Qualifications and Experience

Education: A bachelors degree in nursing preferred. LVN, LPN or Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing. RN preferred. Five to seven years experience in a senior care environment preferred. Industry experience: Five years previous management experience preferred. Knowledgeable of standards of care and practices applicable to the delivery of geriatric services, complex medical conditions, multiple medical diagnoses, including preventive measures, rehabilitation, and promoting independence. Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology, including education in the aging process, memory decline and related behavior management highly preferred. Expertise in up-to-date safety and infection control practices. Experience building and leading effective nursing teams including hiring, training and development. Benefits and Equal Opportunity

The salary range for this position is $77,969 to $120,786.
