Neo Cybernetica
Robot Development Intern (On-site)
Robot brains can't do anything useful without the right bodies. Neo Cybernetica is building an on-site multidisciplinary intern team to prototype novel robotic systems, and we're looking for engineers who are excited to contribute to either of two key areas: 1) Mechanical / Hardware / Fabrication: design, build, and iterate on robot bodies and mechanisms 2) Software / Controls / Systems: program, sense, and control those bodies in the real world You don't need to do both we're actively looking for people who specialize in either. What matters most is that you're excited to work closely with teammates across disciplines in a fast-paced, hands-on startup environment. You'll work alongside some of the brightest minds in robotics a star engineering team pushing boundaries, designing, building, testing mechanical and electrical subsystems for robot prototypes. You will learn to build and test complex, real-world robot systems and learn about the unique challenges of building and integrating robot hardware and software. You'll get exposure to a variety of fabrication techniques, programming languages and integration strategies for robotics. Technical Requirements: Mechanical Track Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on mechanism design Experience with 3D CAD modeling (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.) Familiarity with 3D/FDM printing and related materials Basic skills in wiring and soldering for electrical assemblies CNC machining is a plus; willingness to learn on the job is essential Will also consider applicants who want to learn to design and fabricate electrical PCBs Technical Requirements: Software Track Coursework in introductory robotics Experience programming embedded systems, real robots or robot simulation Familiarity with using git and the unix command-line interface C++ or Rust knowledge is a plus; willingness to learn on the job is essential Computer vision is a plus If you loved being on an FRC robotics team building and coding for cool robots at a fast pace, then this role is for you!
