VIAVI Solutions is looking for a Development Engineer for High-Speed Digital Hardware. Responsibilities
Development of fast digital hardware with bitrates up to 3.2 Tbit/s. Circuit diagram creation and selection of components. 3D EM simulation of critical signal paths. Selection of PCB material and determination of PCB layer stacks. Support the layout team with the layout of critical signal paths. Optimize the design and routing for signal integrity. Conception and implementation of heat dissipation concepts. PCBA turn-up. Functional testing and performance testing (design verification). Qualifications
Master's degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, communications technology or a comparable field of study. Experience in the development of high-speed digital hardware. Very good theoretical and practical high frequency knowledge. Experience in FPGAs with fast transceivers. Experience in Ethernet hardware is advantageous. Experience in PCIe hardware is advantageous. Flexibility, enthusiasm and not afraid of technical challenges. Analytical, systematic and independent way of working. You will work in a small team of experienced hardware engineers.
