Hiring Agency: Game & Parks Commission - Agency 33 Location: Louisville, NE Hiring Rate: $16.755 Platte River State Park hires temporary employees to assist with its park functions which include: Security, Facility Maintenance, Entrance Booths, Grounds Maintenance, and Housekeeping. This position will focus on Security. Duties include: Park security; carry out various operating tasks involved in traffic control, emergency response, campground and cabin operation and maintenance. Examine and lock doors, windows and gates to guard against theft, fire, vandalism and illegal entry. Work schedule will include evenings, weekends and holidays. Candidate may perform other temporary park duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications: At least three months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training. Ability to work with the public and provide requested information in a clear and courteous manner; operate locks and understand safety precautions; modem office methods and procedures; handle multiple tasks; culture and recreational use of the tourist attraction.
