Associate Director, Ethics & Compliance Advisor

reports to the US Ethics and Compliance Head and has responsibilities as described below. Responsibilities

Work with the Senior Director advising Liver Commercial to provide expertise in healthcare compliance, ensuring activities align with the highest ethical and compliance standards. Partner with leaders across Gilead to build and integrate the compliance program into the organization and embed compliance and integrity into Gileads culture. Drive global consistency in the compliance program and share/best-practice adoption across geographies and functions. Apply knowledge of practices related to interactions between commercial, medical affairs and market access. Participate in activity reviews consistent with policies, providing ethics and compliance insights and recommendations, including outreach to stakeholders or subject matter experts when appropriate. Advise on operationalizing compliance processes and executing within legal and compliance requirements. Develop and deliver training to enhance ethics and compliance understanding among stakeholders. Recognize healthcare compliance and enterprise risks and assist in identifying mitigation controls. Consult on business activities and initiatives posing compliance considerations, collaborating with Legal and Ethics & Compliance teams as needed. Partner with Privacy and Data Ethics to operationalize data privacy, information security, cyber laws, and industry codes. Support policy development, training, communications, monitoring, risk assessments, due diligence, transparency, and other compliance needs. Stay informed on ethics and compliance developments and work with Legal and other compliance teams to ensure ethical operation. Lead, inspire, and foster a culture of compliance and integrity. Requirements

We are all different, yet bring unique contributions to serve patients. The following qualifications and skills are sought for this role. Bachelors degree is required with Ten years of experience in compliance, or a Masters with Eight years of relevant experience. A Juris Doctorate or fully qualified legal credentials in one or more geographies of operations is preferred but not required. Extensive in-house experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries, or law firm advising in relevant areas; ideally most years spent in-house. Management experience and ability to mentor and supervise a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge, Experience and Skills: Knowledge and experience in practices related to interactions between commercial, medical affairs and market access. Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor in a collaborative environment. Judgment to propose actions where precedent may not exist; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborative approach with Legal and Ethics & Compliance teams to find ethical and compliant solutions. Commitment to ethics and values, engaging with stakeholders with trust and professionalism, including when dealing with senior personnel. Deep understanding of the biopharma industry, Gileads objectives, and department-specific challenges to provide tailored advice. Responsive communication with business stakeholders and timely feedback on inquiries. Open, transparent communication and clear explanation of requirements and decisions; provide regular updates on changes. Continuous improvement mindset to streamline processes and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy. Willingness to seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve support. The salary range for this position is $182,070.00 $235,620.00. Base compensation varies by experience, qualifications, and location. Eligible for discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility varies by role), paid time off, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
