BH Properties, a Los Angeles-based private real estate investment company (www.bhproperties.com), is seeking to hire a Real Estate Analyst in their Los Angeles office with a focus on affordable housing and market rate communities. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an aspiring CRE professional to broaden and refine their experience. The role will join a dynamic and growing company to provide analytical support to the Head of Affordable Housing Acquisitions on investments nationwide. Additionally, the role will work closely with Company Acquisition Officers and will have exposure to senior management. The company is entrepreneurial by nature and is looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment. Core Responsibilities Include:
Assist with the analysis of investment opportunities, including market analysis, cash flow and financial modeling, benchmarking sponsorship underwriting, and analyzing debt among potential outcomes. Review, analyze, and reconcile financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist in gathering, coordinating, and reviewing due diligence materials for prospective investments, including sales and lease comps, leases, rent rolls, loan documents, LLC documents, title and survey, and third-party reports. Assist in preparing asset-level investment recommendations for senior management, highlighting risks and rewards. Research new opportunities and market segments. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned. Candidate Minimum Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or acquisitions. Proficiency in underwriting and analyzing real estate debt opportunities. Experience in affordable housing is required. Advanced Excel modeling skills. Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills. Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and the ability to work effectively with minimal oversight within a team. Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work under tight deadlines. Unquestionable integrity and ethics. A passion for commercial real estate and a desire to grow with an exceptional team. Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Accounting with an above-average GPA; MBA is a plus. Compensation:
