Job Description
The Remote Commercial Estimator will be expected to:
Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary project details. Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and labor rates. Present cost estimates to stakeholders and provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities. Track and manage project budgets to ensure alignment with estimates. Assist in preparing bid proposals and negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. The Successful Applicant
A successful Remote Commercial Estimator should have:
Prior hands on construction experience in a PM, PE, or Superintendent role earlier in their career. Experience in cost estimating within the commercial construction industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders. Familiarity with estimating software and project management tools. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. What's on Offer
