Chief Medical Officer
The HealthCare Connection (THCC) in Cincinnati, OH, invites you to apply for the role of Chief Medical Officer (CMO). As Chief Medical Officer, you will provide leadership, direction, and management of all THCC clinical services. You will oversee all physicians, nurses, and clinical staff (employees, contractors, and volunteers) and ensure that THCC's healthcare services meet or exceed accrediting, regulatory, and funding standards. Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and oversee Quality Assurance & Improvement (QA/QI) programs ensuring compliance with HRSA and other regulatory agencies. Serve as Co-Chairperson of the QI Committee and manage the review of patient complaints and grievances. Maintain and oversee a robust credentialing and privileging process for all clinical staff. Develop and implement clinical guidelines, protocols, and performance standards in collaboration with clinical staff. Provide clinical leadership and supervision to all medical providers and ensure team alignment with organizational goals. Facilitate communication between physicians, senior leadership, and external partners, keeping the CEO informed of critical matters. Oversee physician scheduling, on-call rotations, and recruitment/retention strategies. Mentor and onboard new physicians and providers through a structured orientation program. Participate in the development of an equitable physician compensation model. Assist with managed care contract evaluations and negotiation processes. Prepare medical staff reports for Board and leadership meetings. Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives and organizational goal setting. Represent THCC at community, state, and federal meetings, as well as with healthcare networks and public health officials. Provide direct patient care within scope of practice, maintaining clinical engagement. Participate in grant development and program evaluation efforts. Qualifications
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with current, unrestricted license to practice in Ohio. Board Certified in respective specialty. Minimum of three (3) years in a senior leadership role. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice, preferably in a community health or ambulatory care setting. Prior experience as a Medical Director is preferred. Proven leadership skills with competencies in quality improvement, team development, and operational oversight. Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service abilities. Experience with EHR systems and practice management tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information while working with diverse populations. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Benefits
