Reliance Home Health Caregivers, one of the well-established and growing Pediatric Home Health Agencies in IL, is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator.
The Job
The Staffing Coordinator will directly coordinate assigned patients' schedules and manage their nurses' staffing while reporting to the Administrator. This position also attends to office and on-call client/nurse complaints or crises related to care coverage and works with all team members and office staff as a patient advocate to achieve health-related goals for each assigned patient of the agency. Responsibilities
Complete training with the Client Service Manager and the Administrator to run an effective scheduling system ensuring full staffing and communication with all concerned personnel. Direct scheduling of nurses, notify nurses of changes and open shifts, monitor clock-in/out times and locations. Notify line managers of unapproved call-ins/no-shows, communicate with clients, and perform weekly schedule management. Prepare and circulate monthly schedules for each case, keeping patients and nurses informed of schedules and changes, especially during hospital admissions. Liaise with Nursing Department, Patients' Families, HR, and Care Coordinators to modify, change, retrain, or replace nurses to maintain trust and 100% staffing. Attend to client requests regarding scheduling, respite hours, and other expectations professionally and promptly. Handle all after-hours concerns related to scheduling and staffing. Update line managers on call-in logs and follow up until issues are resolved. Attend fortnightly management meetings and hold weekly reporting meetings with the administrator on staffing statistics, challenges, and targets. Skills Required
