Volunteer Transportation Services is a program of Sound Generations, a non-profit organization working to help seniors remain safely independent and connected to their communities. Every week, there are a growing number of older adults in need of transportation. Volunteer drivers give a ride to a medical appointment, wait for the client, and return them home. A ride is provided along with assurance, human connection, and peace of companionship.
Volunteer driving is very
flexible:
volunteers choose how many rides they want to provide, on what day and time, and to what area they want to drive. Many volunteers provide a couple rides per week, some do more and some less. You too can help seniors get "on the road" to improved health and peace of mind by becoming a volunteer today.
