A leading private equity firm specializing in secondaries investments is seeking a Director of Capital Formation to lead investor relations, manage fundraising processes, and cultivate relationships with institutional investors globally. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies across the firm's secondaries platform. Responsibilities
Develop and implement capital raising strategies for secondaries funds and related vehicles. Manage relationships with existing and prospective LPs, including pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, and consultants. Lead the preparation of marketing materials, pitch decks, DDQs, and RFPs. Coordinate roadshows, investor meetings, and fund closings. Collaborate with investment and legal teams to ensure alignment between fundraising and deal execution. Monitor market trends and investor sentiment to inform fundraising strategy. Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events. Qualifications
8+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or fundraising within private equity or alternative investments. Deep understanding of secondaries markets and private equity structures. Proven track record of raising institutional capital. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA preferred. Seniority level
