Senior Manager, Network Infrastructure The Senior Manager of Network Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the firm's enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role requires deep expertise in network architecture, leadership experience, and a strong understanding of legal industry requirements such as data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance with industry regulations. The Senior Manager will lead a team of network engineers and collaborate with IT leadership to support firmwide technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will forge strong relationships with all teams to align initiatives and deliver scalable, secure desktop solutions. This individual must be a strong communicator, collaborative team player, and a self-starter capable of owning projects from concept to completion. A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, design, and execution of the network infrastructure initiatives across the firm. Manage daily network operations to ensure 24/7 uptime, security, and performance of WAN, LAN, wireless, VPN, and VOIP (Phone) systems. Supervise and mentor a team of network engineers and administrators; provide guidance, training, and performance feedback and evaluations. Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure network architecture aligns with internal and external security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.). Evaluate and recommend networking hardware, software, and service providers; manage vendor contracts and SLAs. Oversee incident response, problem resolution, change control and network (NOC) operations including root cause analysis and preventative strategies. Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning as it relates to network infrastructure Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable LAN, WAN, VPN, VOIP and wireless network environments across multiple office locations. Manage network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and remote access systems in line with legal industry standards. Collaborate with IT leadership on strategic planning, project execution, and infrastructure modernization (e.g., SD-WAN, Cloud Infrastructure). Stay current with industry trends and legal technology requirements to propose forward-looking solutions. Manage third-party service providers and ensure SLAs and compliance requirements are met. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, legal data governance, and best practices in enterprise networking. Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on infrastructure health, risk, and strategic initiatives. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures. Manage network projects and programs that align with business goals and objectives. Manage hybrid connectivity solutions using Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, or Virtual WAN, ensuring seamless and secure communication between on-premises and Azure environments. Drive automation initiatives using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Infrastructure as Code (IAC) (e.g., Azure Bicep, Terraform) to streamline network provisioning and management. Qualifications: College or University degree in a related field or 10+ years equivalent work experience Certifications (CCNA, Azure cloud networking, etc.) a plus Leadership: Demonstrates ability to lead teams in a high-pressure environment with complex, mission-critical infrastructure. Problem Solving: Applies logical, analytical thinking to troubleshoot complex issues and devise scalable solutions. Communication: Communicates technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Project Management: Delivers projects on time and within scope using sound planning, risk management, agile and waterfall methodologies, and execution practices. Security and Compliance: Ensure systems are secured according to firm policy and regulatory standards. Skillset: In-depth knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to cyber security practices and approaches within the legal IT sector. In depth knowledge of the following technologies. In-depth Knowledge of switching, routing, wireless, VOIP, firewalls, load balancers, etc. In-depth understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and security protocols (IPSec, SSL, etc.) VPN (cisco, Citrix, palo, Zscaler) Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and subnetting Ability to design scalable and secure network infrastructure Experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) Ability to enforce security policies and perform risk assessments In-depth understanding of wireless technologies and protocols Understanding of network automation and tools (ansible, etc.) Understanding of virtualization In-depth understanding of the following suite of technologies: Cisco (ISE, ACI, Meraki, VPN, Hardware, Cloud technologies and services in azure, CUCM) Palo Alto (Firewalls, Cortex, Panorama, Cloud technologies and services in azure) Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, etc), Azure cloud networking, Solarwinds, Silverpeak, Vmware , Microsoft (DHCP, DNS, AD, etc) Salary Range: $175,000 - $190,000 USD
