Overview

Under the supervision of the Network Manager, the Senior Network Engineer will assist the Network Engineering team with all aspects of network management (design, implementation, maintenance, upgrade, and security of the global network infrastructure including voice, data, and wireless). The role includes establishing network standards by conferring with the Network Manager, vendors, and technology partners focusing on WAN/LAN routing protocols, security requirements, access requirements, and performance. Responsibilities also include monitoring and maintaining network performance metrics such as availability, utilization, throughput, and latency through the selection, installation, configuration, and maintenance of monitoring systems/equipment to ensure optimal service across the enterprise. The engineer will perform routine upgrades of all network hardware and software utilizing change management processes and ensure that solutions and operational issues are thoroughly documented in line with the organization's long-term technology roadmap. Responsibilities

Operational Support & Troubleshooting:

Oversee data networking and VoIP environments, providing operational support and troubleshooting of production issues, including occasional evening and weekend work. Network & Infrastructure Maintenance:

Install, operate, and maintain network and communications infrastructure (hardware, software, systems) and vendor relationships. Network Engineering:

Design, implement, and support enterprise data, voice, and video networks, including Cisco Routing, Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN, and VPNs (S2S and DMVPN). Cisco Unified Communications:

Collaborate with vendors, users, carriers, and technical teams on unified capabilities implementation, optimization, and ongoing management. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Use diagnostic tools to monitor system performance, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and drive system enhancements for resource efficiency and response times. Vendor & Fault Management:

Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to resolve network faults, manage vendor performance, and escalate issues as necessary. Documentation & Reporting:

Document network solutions using tools like Visio, Excel, and Word; analyze and report on network performance and usage. Network Design & Troubleshooting:

Design and manage enterprise network hierarchies, including troubleshooting spanning tree, routing protocols, IP subnetting, and NATs. Wireless & WAN Technologies:

Design and troubleshoot Cisco wireless networks, Cisco ISE; manage WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, EPL, T1) and advanced routing with BGP, EIGRP, and Cisco OMP, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure network connections between Data Centers, Regional offices, and Cloud providers. Enterprise Monitoring Tools:

Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, ScienceLogic). Salary:

The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $140,000 to $160,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will depend on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm. Qualifications

Exceptional customer service attitude, skills, and sense of urgency 8-10 years of experience in Routing/Switching with Cisco routers (ASRs) and switches (Nexus 9k, 9300’s, 9500’s stacks) Proficient in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting routers, including experience with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP. Working knowledge of Cloud On-Ramps and Cloud Networking (preferably Azure) Knowledge of Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls Remote Access (Cisco-SDWAN, IPSec / SSL VPN, DMVPN, AAA, RADIUS) Experience using Internet and networking technologies such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, & NTP Knowledge of Quality of Service (Campus and WAN) and routing and switching Excellent communication skills, with the ability to show tact, effective listening skills, follow through, and anticipate questions while being prepared with answers or follow-up. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet customer needs while providing an unbiased opinion. Team player who can follow processes and procedures. Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance, and oversight. Minimum Cisco Certification CCNP Experience working with Cisco Unified Communications Suite Familiarity with Zoom Telephone System Familiar with SIP, H.323, G.729, G.711 and QOS
