Manufacturing Engineer (Night Shift)

Location: Kirkland, WA Shift: Sun-Wed 5:00pm- 3:30am OR Wed-Sat 5:00pm-3:30am We are seeking an exceptional manufacturing engineer to join our team in building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. This role is pivotal in applying innovative solutions and advanced technologies to solve complex manufacturing and engineering challenges at both the system and component levels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless transition from development to production, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and reliability. Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical contact for production-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and implementing long-term corrective actions. Manage non-conforming materials and lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC). Create and update shop orders, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to support continuous production flow. Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware. Collaborate with design, quality, and test engineering teams to support both development and production programs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies. Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in low-rate, high-complexity manufacturing environments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies. Proficient in root cause analysis methodologies such as Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC. Experience in creating and updating work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production systems. Desired Qualifications

Experience with automated manufacturing processes and test methods at component, subsystem, and system levels. Knowledge of QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing (thermal, acoustic, vibration). Strong experience in electrical system design, metrology, and mechanical failure analysis. Demonstrated technical writing skills for documentation such as test plans, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
