We're seeking a
Product Engineer
at Simpson Race Products to help bring next-generation racing products to life. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you'll collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to design, prototype, and improve cutting-edge textile-based products.
What You'll Do: Design & Develop:
Assist in designing new products using CAD, simulation tools, and hands-on testing. Prototype & Test:
Build prototypes, run tests, and analyze results to drive continuous improvement. Research Materials:
Explore and evaluate new materials with a focus on durability and performance. Ensure Compliance:
Work with senior engineers to meet industry safety standards and certifications (SFI, FIA, DOT, etc.). Support Production:
Partner with manufacturing to transition products from prototype to production seamlessly. Customer Feedback:
Analyze real-world feedback to guide future design improvements. What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience with
performance textiles
and
textile manufacturing Proficiency in
CAD design , prototyping, and testing in lab/shop environments Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, material selection, and test data analysis Ability to create and manage technical documentation (BoMs, Routings, Drawings, etc.) Familiarity with
PLCs , and experience with
SQL, Python, JavaScript , or other languages Knowledge of relevant safety standards is a plus (SFI, FIA, Snell, DOT) Fluency in Spanish is a bonus Interest in motorsports is required Must be able to work on-site at our
New Braunfels, TX
facility Occasional travel (
