Job Description:

The Senior Data Management and Integrations Architect is responsible for managing the data availability, data integrity, and data migration needs for LSU OCE. The Senior Architect, in alignment with departmental goals, manages and continually improves the technology used between campuses and software systems with regard to data files and integration needs. The Architect provides support for any data storage and/or retrieval issues, as well as develops and maintains relevant reports for the department. This role will be responsible for how LSU Online & Continuing Education plans, specifies, enables, creates, acquires, maintains, uses, archives, retrieves, controls and purges data. This position is also expected to be able to create databases, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and create data transformation processes via ETL tools such as Informatica, Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS), etc. Experience with Salesforce is a requirement for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with OCE personnel and partner institutions to manage data flows across systems. Utilize a variety of formats such as flat files, direct integrations, APIs, and middleware. Focus will be on ensuring data consistency across systems and maximizing data completeness. Strategically identify, review, and select tools used to provide data integrations for OCE. Serve as the lead/primary role on various projects and activities related to data flow, processes, etc. Utilize advanced knowledge to establish efficiencies in all necessary processes. 30%

Leverage technical and institutional knowledge to perform all activities related to the administration of the database management system for a large organization. This will involve overseeing the management of the database environment, ensuring the availability and performance of the databases, and providing technical support for the resolution of database-related issues. 30%

Serve as a lead worker and mentor the current Data & Integration team. Provide continued guidance, development and support on various projects to the team. Share knowledge and expertise to help develop individual skills and become more effective members of the team. Provide guidance on best practices for data management and integrations, as well as help identify opportunities for process improvement. 20%

Develop and maintain relevant reports for the department and provide insights into the performance and effectiveness of data management and integration processes. Work closely with OCE personnel and partner institutions to understand their reporting needs and ensure that the reports are accurate and timely. 15%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.

Specific Experience -

Experience with data migrations, integrations and reporting tools. Personnel management experience. Must have working experience with the Salesforce platform and Snowflake, Data Cloud experience a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree with 7 years of experience.

Specific Experience -

Experience with Tableau, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and BOOMi are preferred.
