Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description
The Quality Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and completing broadly defined quality engineering tasks, assignments, or small projects to ensure compliance with customer technical expectations.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding product and process inspection, audit, sampling plans, process controls, and statistical applications.
Set up, develop, and continuously improve inspection systems and techniques through data analysis, SPC, and auditing.
Provide quality system development and systems auditing for the division.
Offer technical support to purchasing regarding supplier capability, quality status, inspection test methods, and non-conformance.
Perform root cause analysis and prepare corrective action reports (8D, 5-why, A-3, etc.).
Maintain documentation of the quality systems.
Conduct quality audits to ensure internal compliance.
Analyze quality trends and participate in process improvement activities.
Build solid relationships with Quality personnel from customers to assure key characteristics and contractual requirements are met.
Validate corrective and preventative action effectiveness propagating best practices.

Familiarity with ISO 9001, IPC-610, AS9100 standards
3-5 years of experience in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's Degree
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Microsoft Office and web proficiency
Experience in electronics processing manufacturing
Working knowledge of electronic component manufacturing process
ASQ CQE certification preferred or willingness to pursue
Knowledge and understanding of quality systems and techniques, process control including SPC and team facilitation methods
Work Environment
This role is set in a manufacturing environment. The position offers a unique work schedule with every Friday off.

This is a Permanent position based out of Marlborough, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
