AdventHealth Sebring Faith-Based & Mission-driven Facility Largest Employer in the County Surrounded by lakes, golf courses, and Floridas oldest State Park Close-knit community with a hometown feel Within 2 hours of beaches on either coast Rich arts scene with museums, theaters, festivals, and galleries Local restaurants offering authentic Florida cuisine Near 100+ freshwater lakes ideal for swimming, boating, and fishing Beautiful agriculture and farmland Known for motorsports, home to Sebring International Raceway Numerous nature and hiking trails The role youll contribute: The Laboratory Supervisor manages specific aspects of laboratory processes or shifts, including workflow, quality control, procedure review, performance improvement, staff training, advanced problem solving, equipment or computer maintenance, or other tasks. Assists leadership in meeting departmental goals. The role involves analytical testing of blood and biological specimens, requiring theoretical and practical expertise. Work may include pre- and post-analytical processes, and on-call hours may be required. Follows policies and maintains quality control, actively participating in customer service and respectful relationships. The value youll bring to the team: Prepare staff schedules and workflow assignments Stay current with written or electronic communication and accept accountability for knowledge Manage quality assessment, technical oversight, problem solving, scheduling, interviewing, training, and competency evaluations Handle hiring, coaching, or termination with limited supervision Assist with SOPs and document control as needed Qualifications The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology Three years of clinical laboratory experience In licensure states, Laboratory Supervisor Level Licensure in appropriate specialty(ies) In non-licensure states, national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AAB, AMT), unless grandfathered per state requirements
