Position Overview: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
As an SLP, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in residents recovering from injury, illness, or living with chronic conditions. You will play a vital role in improving quality of life, communication, and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and implement individualized treatment plans for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, nursing staff, and families to support care planning. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports. Educate patients and families on therapy goals and at-home exercises. Participate in continuing education and stay up to date on best practices in the field. Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is Required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is Required Completion of Praxis exam and clinical fellowship Licensure & Certification:
Active
California SLP license
is Required Experience:
Minimum of
2 years in the field
is Preferred Experience in
Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
is Preferred
