Hiring Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00/hour Summary
Leasing Consultants are responsible for the performance of all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals. The incumbent interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy. This includes generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation, and completing move-in paperwork and procedures. Essential Job Duties Answer incoming phone inquiries regarding available apartments. Provide information requested and encourage scheduling property visits Offer tours of available apartments that meet the prospects needs Inform prospects on the advantages of renting from Bigos Management Maintain knowledge of local competition using public information Follow-up with prospects who have not decided to move forward Qualify all prospective renters using company-approved procedures Move-in new renters, discuss lease and complex rules, conduct move-in inspections; handle move-out inspections as applicable Follow-up with residents on lease renewals Other duties as assigned by Property Manager
Qualifications
Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required 1-2 years customer service and/or sales experience required Previous leasing experience preferred
Skills and Abilities Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to use tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and the public Organizational and time management skills Basic computer literacy (email, web applications) Real Estate Licenses must not be active while working in this role
Physical Demands
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed material and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in-person and over the telephone. Must be able to navigate the property/building as required, including climbing stairs and walking hallways and common areas. Work Environment
