Maintenance Technician

As a Mobile Engineer, your primary role is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities. You are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area, such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, while being multi-skilled in others. Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure facility and building systems meet applicable standards. Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to keep HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels. Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment. Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. Mechanical expertise and troubleshooting skills. Experience as a maintenance technician with HVAC, plumbing, piping, and electrical knowledge. Field service experience with a willingness to travel between multiple facilities. EPA 608 Universal Certification is required. Valid Driver's License is required. 8-10 years of experience in commercial facilities roles. Proficiency with computers, specifically Word and Excel. Preferred experience from a trade school. Comfortable handling all aspects of maintenance, with a preference for mechanical tasks, especially HVAC. Enjoy free parking and a company van for a predetermined route. This position offers permanent status with an industry giant after 13 weeks. Work at National Grid locations, where you will engage with various systems and technologies in a dynamic environment. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northborough, Massachusetts. The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
