Compensation $102,349.65 - $187,445.49

(Based on Experience) Summary Responsible for directing and coordinating the laboratory processes from day-to-day operations to performing quality control, quality assurance, and serving as a technical resource to team members. Responsible for coordinating and assuring the facility's compliance activities within the operating unit. Work with GLWA leadership in developing future strategies for permit renewals. Provide technical and strategic leadership as a subject matter expert regarding the facilitys National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Air Emissions permits.

Job Responsibilities Manage and administer the operations of a facility or functional unit Manage and motivate a diverse workforce Effectively manage all assigned staff, daily assignments and provide on the job training Develop, recommend, and administer the annual operating and capital budgets for the unit to ensure expenditures are controlled, maintained, and approved Ensure that financial planning, performance measurement, and reporting are developed and in compliance with legislative requirements and are in support of the division's goals and objectives Ensure compliance with all corporate and legislative requirements to meet operational, environmental, health and safety standards, and ensures the effectiveness and compliance of maintenance and operations Liaise with elected officials, public, and represents the division on various committees managing complaints, requests for information, and safety concerns. Ability to drive a motor vehicle on all terrain Required Education and Experience At the time of application, applicant must: Bachelors degree in the related operational or functional fields, such as Engineering, Chemistry, Accounting, or Human Resources Five years of recent management and operational experience gained through progressively more responsible positions. Professional accreditation in an area related to the operational or functional field may be required for some specialty areas at the discretion of the GLWA Chief Executive Officer and Organizational Development Unit Education requirement can be substituted with extensive experience at the discretion of the GLWA Chief Executive Officer and Organizational Development Unit Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. This position requires extensive computer use and extended time seated in meetings. This position also requires the ability to walk throughout the plants and facilities. Environmental Working Requirements: May work in an office, plant, or field environment. This position requires the ability to work in all conditions involving exposure to outside elements and seasonal weather.
