About the Role
EqualAccess is partnering with a long-standing, mission-driven property management company specializing in affordable housing across New York City. Our client manages a diverse portfolioincluding LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and supportive housingand is deeply committed to regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and community development.
We are hiring
two Leasing & Recertification Specialists
for the corporate office in the Bronx. This role directly serves a resident population where a significant portion are Spanish-speaking.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
to effectively communicate with residents, complete required documentation, and ensure all tenants have equitable access to services. Key Responsibilities Notify residents of upcoming income recertifications in both English and Spanish.
Assist with initial, interim, and annual recertifications, ensuring all residents can understand the process and requirements.
Collect and verify resident income and asset information.
Prepare and send third-party verification forms.
Maintain organized, audit-ready resident files.
Collaborate with leasing and property management teams.
Support compliance-related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications Fluency in English and Spanish
(written and verbal) to communicate effectively with residents and translate documents as necessary.
Familiarity with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, etc.).
Experience with Yardi.
Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
