Perform the required repairs and preventative maintenance on manufacturing and process equipment such as conveyers, tablet presses, tablet counters, inserters, labelers, metal detectors, descramblers, cappers blenders, sifters, as well as system equipment such as RO and DI water compress air, pneumatic systems as well as lab equipment and stability chambers. Act as team leader in the absences of the GMP maintenance supervisor. Primary Responsibilities/Activities: Perform regular, routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment. Analysis, troubleshooting and make repairs to manufacturing and process equipment such as fillers, tablet presses, pumps, mixers, conveyors, etc. Install electrical conduit and wiring, as well as, terminate electrical devices such as switches, disconnects, magnet starters, VFD and PLC. Install pneumatic lines and equipment such as regulator, controllers, solenoids switches and cylinders. Collaborate with vendor technical support on timely repair of complex manufacturing equipment Use various types of test equipment to diagnose technical issues with electronic equipment and PLC driven equipment Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematic, electronic diagrams and facility blue print to diagnose system failures or equipment errors. Work with manufacturing and production staff as well as equipment tech support staff to resolve issues with manufacturing and production equipment Work with vendors and contractor on the installation of new equipment. All other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications: Education: High School graduation or equivalent; vocation training in electronics, electrical, controls or process equipment. Experience: Hands-on trouble shooting skills on mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment. Specialized knowledge or training: Able to read and understand Architectural drawings, electrical, electronic and pneumatic prints for facility renovations and manufacturing equipment upgrade or air quality modifications. Travel required in this position 0-10%
