Lead and manage the nursing team within the Same Day Surgery unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Oversee patient care activities, ensuring a smooth workflow and compliance with best practices, focusing on pre-operative and post-operative care. Ensure the efficient operation of the Same Day Surgery unit, managing resources, equipment, and inventory while optimizing care delivery. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and enhance surgical outcomes. Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality standards, while promoting a positive and supportive work environment. Candidate requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a surgical or perioperative setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Recent working on the floor in an Ambulatory Care setting. ( 1 year or less) Proficient with starting IVs Detailed years of outpatient surgery experience Charge nurse, manager, or supervisor over the ambulatory services min. of 1 year.
