Lead and supervise nursing staff in the outpatient surgery department, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Oversee patient care delivery across the perioperative continuum: pre-operative assessment, intraoperative nursing, and post-anesthesia recovery. Ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes by implementing evidence-based surgical nursing practices. Manage the daily operations of the outpatient surgery unit, including resource utilization, staffing coverage, inventory, and equipment maintenance. Monitor patient flow, ensuring efficient turnover and reduced wait times while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered care. Candidate requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of perioperative or surgical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
