The EHS Manager will lead and oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety functions within the department, serving as a hands-on presence on the plant floor for the majority of the day. This role combines active engagement with machinery and personnel with strategic oversight of administrative responsibilities. The manager will proactively identify risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure that environmental procedures are clearly communicated, consistently updated, and fully integrated into daily operations. A strong emphasis is placed on training, both in maintaining compliance and empowering supervisors to recognize and address safety concerns. Responsibilities include conducting annual environmental audits, performing internal compliance checks, leading safety committee meetings, and documenting observations during routine plant walkthroughs. The EHS Manager will also manage employee-submitted safety suggestions (yellow cards), ensuring timely follow-up and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ultimately, this role is dedicated to cultivating a proactive, safety-focused environment while effectively managing departmental operations.

ISO14001 experience DOT/RCRA certification Supervisory/leadership experience Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field preferred High school diploma with 10 years of EHS experience required Experience with OSHA standards, Workers Compensation, and safety/environmental practices (ex. OSHA30 certification, Lockout/tagout procedures, Risk assessments and job hazard analysis, Safety and environmental reporting Hazardous Waste, Regulatory compliance with TOSHA, OSHA) 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing facility Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting all deadlines Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
