Duties to be Performed

: The Computer Scientist serves as the Full Stack Developer and provides developer and programmer support and assistance to the design, development, and implementation of appropriate NAS wide operational programs. Provides assessments regarding current, state-of-the-art, and industrial trends in the computer field. Designs and implements computer algorithms and reviews existing legacy code systems considering current "best business" practices of computer science. Must have knowledge of computer languages. Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced technical specialist. Acts as principal technical specialist or as a project manager or team leader for large work activities. Provides on-site, first-line technical support to all users in their use of business collaboration platforms and tools. Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge of computer science methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform, or present information by means of computer systems for solving complex problems and developing improved technical processes or systems. Utilizes programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java to write, modify, and test code and scripts to allow computer software and applications to function properly. Monitors the performance of computer networks. Develops models and theories to address current or anticipated problems and issues. Works with management to solve problems. Analyzes user requirements and designs to develop multiple Internet sites, configures and deploys analytical tools for user experience improvement, and extracts data from the analytical tools to provide metrics to support management decision-making. Builds dashboard that provides a snapshot of all work assignments that need management attention. Develops, integrates, and implements solutions to diverse, complex problems. Resolves all but unique technical problems without the intervention of management or a more experienced user and works with management to solve problems. Applies knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Power Platform to design and deploy multiple dashboards, metrics,. Uses Microsoft SharePoint Online to create document templates to support all changes and develop workflows in Microsoft SharePoint to automate and support any change procedures or other platforms as required. Communicates results to all levels internally and externally as directed. Plays a lead role in drafting, reviewing, and editing reports or documents for final approval prior to distribution. Presents briefings, coordinates significant technical matters with representatives as needed

Qualifications

: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree or MBA in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience. PhD in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience

Previous Experience Required:

WJHTC experience, NAS systems
